Lessons from experience

This report presents our review of the known challenges faced by other economies seeking to increase the number of women in STEM.

The report has 9 sections.

  • Section 1: The Introduction sets out the background and structure of the report and provides guidance on the navigational tools used in it.
  • Section 2: Key findings provides our analysis of the main messages emerging from the research and our commentary on the issues of particular importance for delivering the WiSTEM Action Plan.
  • Sections 3-7: The Review of known challenges summarises the key research reports we have identified. There are 5 parts, organised by year
